Loneliness is an epidemic in our world today, and that has a way of feeling magnified when you remove alcohol from your life. For so many, every social interaction revolved around drinking. When you take out the alcohol, you might find that you have fewer friends, and that you don’t really know what to do with the ones you still have. In this episode, we talk about how we face the loneliness that seems almost inevitable in sobriety… and share hope that it actually gets a lot better, once you embrace your authentic self and allow yourself to start showing up.

Travis Caouette is a 33 year old dude enjoying his mental health recovery journey around the sun. Both a boyfriend and a cat dad, Travis can be found most nights yelling at the New York Rangers game or playing his PS5 with them both by his side. As a Recovery Coach Professional Facilitator for CCAR, his passion for mental health/recovery education and awareness is evident in his work, but also shines through in his hobbies that include writing poetry, playing music, and graphic design.

Dr. Andrew Seefeld is the Medical Director of the Emergency Department at Speare Memorial Hospital in Plymouth, New Hampshire. He is uniquely qualified as a leader in the field of Addiction Medicine considering his own personal experience battling addiction.
