It is absolutely possible to have fun socializing while sober! If you are trying to figure out socializing sober and are finding it super awkward and frustrating – you are so not alone! Navigating your social life – sober – is hard, when all you’ve known for most of your adult life is pre-gaming before parties, drinking to feel confident, and all of your social events revolved around how much drinking you’d be able to do. In this episode we talk about learning how to socialize sober – social awkwardness and all.

Matthew is a former executive chef who grew up in the orchestrated chaos of the culinary world under belly.  He now travels as a Director of Operations for a hospitality company in the Senior Living division across the U.S. He got sober Nov 4th 2020 after chronic relapses, jails and institutions.  Matthew enjoys learning about others sober journey, recovery and addiction as he fly’s around the country. I’m Katherine. I’m 31 years old born and raised in Texas. Loves long walks on the beach, an ice cold glass of Coke Zero on a hot Texas night, and enjoys catching my moms wild free rang chickens in my spare time while playing a banjo at the same time. Vince lives in the Southwest U.S. He didn’t quit drinking until he was 60 years old, but four years later he is enjoying the rewards of a sober life, including being a new grandfather. He credits his on-line sober community for helping him through the challenging times.
